SYNK AI Terms of Service

Welcome to the Terms of Service for the legal technology platform called SYNK AI (LEGAL) operated by PANGEA CORPORATION (referred to as the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our legal case analysis services, including any associated software, APIs, and Large Language Model (LLM) features (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Parties and Relationship

Provider: Pangea Corporation, a company incorporated under Indian Company Laws, with its registered office at No 4/5, 1st Main, Ashwini Layout, S.T. Bed, Eijipura.

User/Controller: The entity or individual accessing the Services, primarily responsible for the Case Data and User Data provided to the platform.

Nature of Relationship: In the context of data handling, the User acts as the "Data Controller," and the Company acts as the "Data Processor".

2. Services and Data Definitions

Case Data: Includes all legal documents, evidence, case files, proprietary text, and pleadings uploaded or ingested into the Services.

User Data: Personal data of authorized users, including names, emails, professional details, IP addresses, and usage logs.

Usage Analytics: Statistical and behavioural information regarding your interaction with the Services used for performance monitoring and product optimization.

3. Data License and Processing

You grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable license to host, cache, and store Case Data solely to execute the requested Services.

The Company shall process all data strictly in accordance with your documented instructions.

We are authorized to process User Data and Usage Analytics for billing, account management, and system debugging.

4. AI and LLM Protocols

Under no circumstances will Case Data, User Data, or your inputs be used to train, fine-tune, or improve the weights of any Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI algorithms.

We may process Case Data via third-party LLM providers under strict conditions:

  • Data is transmitted only via secure, Enterprise-grade APIs.
  • Third-party providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for training.
  • We ensure "Zero Data Retention," meaning providers do not retain data longer than necessary to generate a response.

5. Confidentiality and Security

We will not sell, rent, or share Case Data or User Data with external parties, except as required by law or to authorized sub-processors in writing.

All Company personnel with access to your data are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

All data is encrypted during transmission and while at rest within our infrastructure.

The primary storage for Case Data and User Data is the AWS India Region (ap-south-1). We will not migrate this storage outside this region without your prior consent.

6. Liability and Indemnity

The Company agrees to defend and hold you harmless against third-party claims arising from breaches of AI restrictions, confidentiality, or security protocols.

Except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident.

7. Termination and Deletion

Either party may terminate the use of Services with thirty (30) days' written notice.

Upon termination, we will immediately cease processing and delete all Case Data and User Data from active systems and backups within thirty (30) days.

We will provide written certification of data deletion upon request.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

By using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
